Day 1: Arrival at Dar Es Salaam International airport (Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere - JK Nyerere airport) and transfer to Movenpick Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: After breakfast, drive to Saadani National Park via Chalinze town and Mandera on the Dar Es Salaam/Arusha highway. A hot lunch at Saadani Campsite. Afternoon boat safari on the Indian Ocean or Wami River . Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 3: Full day in Saadani with combination of game viewing and walking safari. Picnic in the bush. Late afternoon drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: After breakfast, proceed to Mikumi National Park via Morogoro town. Hot lunch at Genesis lodge. Afternoon game drive in Mikumi Park. Dinner and overnight at Genesis Lodge.
Day 5: After breakfast, have another half day tour of the Mikumi Park. Lunch at the Genesis lodge. Afternoon drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park located at Mang'ula about 60 kilometers drive from Mikumi. Visit of some Income generating projects in Msolwa Village funded by WWF and Tanzania National Park Authority as well as on the way view the Sanje water falls passing the Kilombero one and two sugar plantation. Dinner and overnight at Udzungwa Mountains View Hotel.
Day 6: A full day excursion of the Udzungwa Mountain National Park famous for its sable antelope rare viewed on the northern circuit of Tanzania. With picnic lunch from Udzungwa Mountains View Hotel then later evening dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: After breakfast, collect packed lunches with porters and guides and drive to Grand Sanje Falls Hotel start the gentle trek of the Mountains leading to the Sanje waterfalls. This exercise needs people who are relatively fit. Several view points are found on the climb where people can relax before continuing the trek (750 m above sea level).
Picnic lunches to be served on top of the falls. Early afternoon descend to the Hotel for shower, relaxation at the bar. Dinner and overnight at Udzungwa Mountains View Hotel (since to date 2008 Grand Sanje Falls Hotel is operating as restaurants, accommodation under construction).
Day 8: After breakfast, drive across the Udzungwa chain of Mountains to Ruaha National Park via Iringa town for lunch. After lunch proceed to the Ruaha Park with an evening game viewing in the Park. Dinner and overnight at Traditional Bungalows.
Day 9: Another full day of game viewing still in Ruaha Park, famous for its herds of Elephants and Sable Antelopes. Meals and overnight at Traditional Bungalows.
Day 10: In the morning in Ruaha with let us do the combination of game viewing and walking safari if the grass is not too high. Picnic at a campsite near the Great Ruaha River. Late evening drive back to Traditional Bungalows for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: After breakfast, check out and depart for hot lunch at the Genesis lodge and a rest at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 12: After breakfast, continue to Selous Game Reserve. Lunch at Ndovu Camp or Hidden Paradise Camp. Afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 13: Full day of game viewing and walking safari if the grass is not too high. Visit the famous Hot Springs and the Selous Grave. Picnic in the bush. Late evening drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Another full day exploring the immense Selous Game Reserve. Meals and overnight at the camp.
Day 15: After breakfast, collect packed lunches and visit the primary school at Mloka village outside the Reserve. Afternoon enjoy a local dance performed by Zaramo tribe people leaving at Mloka Village . Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 16: After breakfast, check out, with your picnic lunch and drive back to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival check in at Movenpick Hotel a day room, late lunch and dinner before transfer to Dar es Salaam airport for your flight back home. |
