Mikumi National Park

Mikumi National Park is the fourth largest National Park in Tanzania which covers 3,230 square kilometers.

Mikumi National Park is in Morogoro Region along Dar es Salaam-Mbeya highway. It is the most accessible park in the country. Passengers on board buses from Morogoro to Dodoma or Iringa can sight wild animals.

Located between the Lumango and Uluguru mountains, the park is rich in wildlife, bird life and natural vegetation which, opens the door to both local and international ecologists and students of ecology for research purposes. The national park is also close to the Selous Game Reserve on the south.

This park is also home to lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, crocodiles, zebras, elands and wild dogs.
